A few days after my run in with Dawn Lex called around 7 o clock Saturday.....

"Hello its me Annilee speak to me..." I said in a cheerful tone when i answered the phone.

"Wat up good lookin..." Was what he said

"Who's this?"I replied with alittle atta

"It's Lex, you know yo boyfriend"

I was alittle shocked by his answer so I decided to play along with him.

"I don't have a boyfriend and who is Lex"

"Oh so it's like that Lele.."

"Yeah and who said you could call me that"

"You know you like that" he said while I smiled and giggled " so what up gurl"

"Not much" I said

"Same here but I know you been thinking bout me"

" What?!? Don't play yourself" I replied

"I aint but all you gotta do is say yes..." He said in a singsong voice

"Yes to what?"

"Going out wit yo man this Friday"

"Hmm, I'll have to think about it"

"ok I guess you dont wanna be my gurl then"

"I said I'd think about it, Lex"

"Aiight just hit me up by Wednesday Lele"

"Aiight bye"

"Peace" he said as he hung up

I was floating I knew my answer but I still wasn't sure. So I called my irls and called an emergency meeting at our favorite spot Mickey's (a soul food joint that's genius and we're his best customers).

"Morning Girls" Mickey said as we entered the restaurant

"Afternoon Mickey" we replied in unison.

Mickey was old so he was always alittle off and never knew what time of day it was mostly.

We sat at our usual table and I started explaining my reason for calling the meeting.

"Ladies, I have called this meeting because...."

"Lex asked you out gurl!!! You know I know what be goin down" Dana interrupted me before I could finish.

"Yeah and I wanted to know yall thoughts" I said as I looked at their surprised faces.

"Well, Um uh he is fine" Venessa said as Anjel and Leneil agreed.

" Well personally I think he's threat. I know he's a pretty boy you know the rule" Courtney said in a smart a** way.

"I know the rules common ,but I really think I should at least chance him" I said starting to get an atta.

" You know what I'm not in the mood for your dumb Sh*** ok so I'm out. F*** up if you want" She said and barged out of the restaurant

"What's stuck up her a**?" Venessa said " That's my job to be the b***h."

"Man, I don't know. Let's order I'm hungry" Dana said

"Well, I think you should go Lele It's all about what you want" Anjel said

"Thanks gurl at leats somone cares" I said jokingly at Dana and Venessa

Wednesday came and Common wasn't talking to any of us and didn't come to school all week. We were worried

"Have you heard from Common" I asked Anjel that morning

"No, and she's ignoring all calls"

"Guess what B***hes?!?" said Dawn in a nasty way

"What in hell do you want...?" I said with an atta

"I just heard something extra juicy bout your little ho friend Courtney..."She said with a laugh

"Whateva you heard is probably a lie" Anjel said

"Wel it's not.. That little ho got her a** knocked up" She said with a devilish grin and she and her groupies walked down the hall laughing.

"Pregnant?!? Common?!? no way!!!" was all i could say we rushed to tell V. and Danna they were just as shocked.

20 minutes later we were knocking on Courtney's door and her mom answered.

"Hey girls, Courtney is not felin well" She said

"We know about Courtney Ms.Anderson. Can we talk to her..." I said surprising Ms. Anderson.

"Oh,well I'll see if she wants to see you come on in."

We came into the country looking house and waited for Ms. Anderson to come back.

"She'll see you girls, she's in her room."

When we went into her room she looked awful like she just funished throwing up.

"Hey yall. I'm sorry I didn't tell you and I'm sorry I went off like that the other day" She said

We sat down on the bed she was in and she sat up.

"Its ok at least we understand your outburst now" Leneil replied
